We’ve all seen the jokes about social media and mobile phones. For so many people these days, it seems an impossible task to put their phones in their pocket or purse.
For most women, shopping is an inherited or possibly even genetic characteristic. We don’t need to take classes because most of us are born with a shopping degree. But we do need to follow certain guidelines if we are to be awarded a postgraduate degree.
The importance of a wardrobe makeover is a topic I feel very strongly about. In fact, I have included a whole chapter to this subject in my book Hot Stuff. I have also successfully completed many Wardrobe Workouts for women who chose not to do it alone.
Dressing in an age appropriate way is something that strikes fear into the heart of many women. We don’t want to look like “Mutton dressed as Lamb.” We don’t want to look like granny.
Why is it that so many women, once they reach a certain age (usually taken to be about 50), allow themselves to sink into grannydom; yet again, living within the expectations of others.
Here I sit, all dressed up and nowhere to go! I was going to Positano, which, for those of you interested, is a bus ride from Salerno to Amalfi and then another bus ride or a ferry to Positano. It even sounds wonderful!
