Well, that got out of hand quickly. That’s what I thought as I watched the Dow fall 1,175 (4.6%) on Monday, February 6th, 2018. Then, like many people with an interest in global economic affairs, I sat back and watched chaos erupt in markets around the world. As of the writing of this article, Japan’s Nikkei has plunged 4.7% and London’s FTSE 100 is down 3%.
For better or for worse, I started telling my grandkids about my life before they could talk – or even understand what I was saying! I can’t help it! I’m just a talker. I always have been and I always will be.

Neil Diamond fans woke up to tragic news this morning. A few hours ago, the singer/song-writer, who is an absolute treasure to our generation, announced that he has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. As a result, he will no longer be doing any touring, although he will continue to write and take part in other projects, where possible.
From his time with Argent, a rock band that he founded with Rod Argent, to his 18-year run with The Kinks and, finally, his time with The Zombies, music legend Jim Rodford inspired and entertained.
