Exploring Ageism in the Beauty Industry… and its Impact on Our Opinions and Habits

When it comes to makeup and skincare for older women, does life imitate art? Or, does art imitate life? This is the question that I found myself pondering as I read Elise Marquam-Jahns’ article on ageism in the beauty industry. Are older women ignored in the beauty industry because most of us have deprioritized these kinds of products? Or, do we cease to care so much about what other people think because marketers aren’t presenting faces and personalities that we can relate to? I just recorded a video on this topic and I hope that you will share your opinion! Join us for a cup of tea (or coffee) and a chat. And, if you enjoy the show, please tell one friend about us today. Your support means so much to me!

Do you think that the beauty industry focuses too little, just enough or too much on women our age? Why? Would you like to see more people your age in makeup and fashion advertising? Please share your thoughts in the comments section below. Let’s have a chat!
