Let’s End 2014 with a Bang! It’s Time to Be Visible!

By Margaret Manning December 28, 2014 Mindset

Ok, hands up everyone who is looking back on 2014 and thinking “wow, what a year!” I’ve been so wonderfully busy with Sixty and me interviews, writing, and filming that I don’t know where the time has gone!

I love this time of year! During the holidays we give ourselves permission to break the rules a bit, to step outside of our usual routine and add a little sparkle to our lives. Thank goodness for Ariane Poole – she has given me so many ideas for sparkling eyes and other winter makeup tips.

All in all, I think we have a lot to be grateful for this year! At times, our progress is slower than we would like, but, at the same time, if also feels like the women in our community are beginning to get the “hang” of this 60s thing.

Even 12 months ago I felt that I had my invisibility cloak firmly wrapped around me and that when I entered the room. Now I realize that my invisibility cloak has an on/off switch and that it’s up to me to decide which setting to choose. Do you feel the same way?

So, as we enjoy what is left of 2014, let’s make a commitment to get visible! Let’s dedicate the rest of the holiday season and all of next year to being frivolous and fun.

Let’s get our crazy girlfriends together (you know who they are), put down our rolling pins, aprons and decorations, suspend all judgements and go have some fun!

Make this day extra special and go have fun. Let’s be thankful for friendship. Let’s embrace the craziness of our lives and celebrate our 60 beautiful years on this planet!

What are you doing this holiday season to have fun and relax? What are you getting up to with your girlfriends? Even getting a coffee can be an adventure at this time of year. Please let us know in the comments and “like” and share this article to keep the conversation going!
