I’m writing this, while wearing my luxurious homemade coffee face mask. Hopefully I’ll make it through the whole article without any of the beautiful mixture falling on my computer. Wish me luck!
As you know, I’m not a big fan of anti-aging products. At the same time, just because I don’t believe in magical pills and potions doesn’t mean that I don’t like playing with makeup and handmade face masks.
When I told my friend Susie that I was going to create a magical turmeric face mask for aging skin, her immediate question was, “Aren’t you afraid that you will turn your skin yellow?”
Recently, I asked the women in our community to share their questions about makeup for women over 60. We had some great questions, including one from Carol, who asked about facial hair removal. So, to help investigate this issue, I turned to my good friend, Ariane Poole.
A few days ago, I recorded my first Facebook Live session. Over 6,000 women over 60 watched the 40-minute video! It was a great opportunity to connect with our Facebook community, share ideas and discuss things that were on our minds.
I’m a big believer in positive aging. As we get a little older, I think that it’s important to remember that it’s what the inside that really counts.
As we get a little older, it’s no surprise that our skin color and texture changes. Unfortunately, many of us continue to apply the makeup tips that we learned when we were teenagers, preventing us from getting the look that we want.
Like many women in our community, I have worn glasses for most of my life. For most of this time, my glasses lived in perfect harmony with my makeup. In fact, I didn’t really think about how to wear makeup with my glasses until I was well into my 50s.
As we get a little older, we need to think carefully about the makeup techniques that we apply. This is especially true when it comes to eye makeup application, which is a delicate process at any age.
If you were to ask a group of women what part of their body they like the most, many of us would say that we love our eyes. There is something about the eyes that we find fascinating. They are more than just colorful globes. They are windows into our soul. At least, that’s how many of us think about them.
