Goldie Hawn, 73, and partner, Kurt Russell, 67, have successfully played countless roles over their long-standing and successful Hollywood careers – but it looks like their favorite role of all time might have nothing to do with acting or Hollywood at all!

And that is the role of Grandma and Grandpa.

While both celebrities have plenty of experience being grandparents thanks to the five grandchildren that they already have, the couple have been enjoying some serious bonding time with the sixth and latest addition to their bevy of grandchildren, Rani Rose, born October 2.

A Family Affair

After Hawn’s daughter, Kate Hudson, posted a recent photo on Instagram sharing a sweet moment of Hawn and Russell fawning over their newest grandchild, it is apparent that Hawn and Russell are fully embracing their role as grandparents to baby Rani Rose.

This holiday season is especially exciting for the couple as they both star in the holiday film, The Christmas Chronicles, (along with Hawn’s son, Oliver Hudson) which premiered on Netflix earlier this month and has been a big hit with viewers, delightfully helping them get into the spirit of the season.

However, at the premiere, it was clear that Russell was much more exited to gush about his newest granddaughter than his holly jolly Netflix film, saying,  “It will be fun just to watch her little eyes looking at the lights on the Christmas tree and taking it all in for the first time.”

And while this will be little Rani Rose’s first time to experience Christmas, it is certainly not the first time that Hawn and Russell will get to enjoy the holidays through the eyes of their beloved grandchildren. The couple have enjoyed plenty of holidays-past with their grandchildren which, in addition to Rani Rose, include Kate Hudson’s sons from previous relationships, Bingham Hawn, 7, and Ryder Russell, 14, as well as Goldie’s son, Oliver Hudson’s, daughter, Rio Laura, 5, and sons, Bodhi Hawn, 8, and Wilder Brooks, 11.

Russell has shared just how excited he was for his step-daughter, Hudson, and her boyfriend, Danny Fujikawa, to become parents to a girl for the first time, saying, “We’re proud of Danny and the relationship that grew between Kate and Danny — the result being Rani Rose.”

With a heartwarming holiday movie and a beautiful new grandchild, it seems that Hawn and Russell have so much to celebrate and be grateful for this holiday season – not to mention, plenty of presents to wrap with all of those grandchildren for them to spoil!

After all, that’s part of the joy of being a grandparent, right?
