It’s 2 in the afternoon and you are sitting on your private balcony, the wind playing around your feet. To your right is a cold glass of white wine, condensation dripping down the sparkling glass. All around you, the smell of the fresh ocean air recharges your batteries and sends your mind tumbling back to simpler times.

It’s a wonderful fantasy! In fact, more than any other type of vacation, cruising has huge appeal for women in their 60s.

After all, what’s not to love? You have beautiful views, amazing food and plenty of opportunities to make new friends.

There are a few problems though. For starters, cruises can be prohibitively expensive. Even if you do your homework, paying for your cruise can feel like having your arm taken off. And, if you’re single, it’s even worse. With most cruise companies charging a single supplement, it’s harder than ever to get a good deal if you’re traveling solo.

In the past, we have asked travel expert, Nancy Parode to give her advice on a number of cruise related topics. Now, I’d like to turn to the regular cruisers in our community to see where they go to save money and get the best cruise deals.

Do you love to cruise? If so, we’d love to hear some of your secrets for getting amazing cruise deals. Please take a few moments to answer one or more of the following questions. Our community is stronger because of you!

What is the best cruise deal that you ever got and where did you find it?

What websites or resources do you use to find amazing deals on cruises?

What advice would you give to someone who is going on their first cruise?

What are the best cruise lines that you have ever experienced?
