Your Sixty and Me Sisters Need Your Help!

By Margaret Manning October 26, 2015 Mindset

When I started Sixty and Me, several years ago, it was a one woman show. Honestly, I wasn’t even sure if anyone would read my articles or join any of the conversations on the site. All I knew was that there were many women in the world who, just like me, wanted to get the most from life after 60.

Sixty and Me is completely different today. I still write, start conversations and interview experts – but, our community is now about all of you.

With over 100,000 women in our community, we are a force to be reckoned with. Together, we have raised our collective voice and said no to invisibility. We are showing the world that life after 60 is about pursuing your passions and doing good, not slowing down and disappearing from public life.

Thank you so much for being a part of our community! Now, as we look to the future, we need your help to make our community stronger.

Your Sixty and Me Sisters Need You

I receive emails on a weekly basis from women who want to know how they can help with Sixty and Me. Some women offer to write articles for the site. Others simply give a few words of encouragement. Both of these gestures are deeply appreciated!

At the same time, I know that, for every woman out there who asks how to help, there are 100 who more who stay silent. So, to get things started, I wanted to offer a few suggestions about how we can all make Sixty and Me stronger. Best of all, all of these ideas are free.

Here are 4 Completely Free Ways to Make Our Community Stronger

I hope that the following ideas will inspire you to get even more involved with the Sixty and Me community.

We are stronger when we help each other.

Get Involved in Discussions

One of the most powerful things about our community is that we have a share set of experiences. From makeup to postmenopausal symptoms, we can share our advice and help each other. When you see a discussion at the end of an article, don’t be shy. Jump in and lend your advice.

Get to Know Your Sisters

Don’t limit your contribution to posting comments. Engage with the other women in our community. Use the “reply” button to talk with your sisters. You knows, maybe you’ll find a new friend.

Help Us Spread the Word

Sixty and Me is not a big company with a marketing budget. We rely on all of you to help us find new members. So, share our emails and articles. Tell your friends and family about Sixty and Me. Blog about us.

This is your community. Be proud of it!

Share Your Expertise

Do you love to bake? Are you passionate about gardening? Are you a child psychologist with grandkids? Whatever your skills, the women in our community want to hear from you! Consider becoming a guest writer for Sixty and Me.

Over the last several years, Sixty and Me has become stronger than I could have ever imagined. This has only been possible because of the support of people like you. Please help us to make Sixty and Me stronger. Participate in conversations. Get to know your sisters. Help us get the word out. Most of all, share your unique brand of awesomeness with the community. We are stronger because of you!

What do you like most about Sixty and Me? Please join the conversation.
