It has been a big week for Christie Brinkley, 64, in terms of her fashion and style!

With a potentially dangerous fashion snafu, a stunning family photo shoot, and recieving a big-time fashion-focused award, this week has been filled with fashion highs and lows for Ms. Brinkley!

A Fashion-Filled Week

Brinkley is certainly no stranger to the world of fashion and style as she has built a brilliantly successful career on her timeless beauty, gracefulness runway walks, and unmatched photogenic nature.

Her career really took off in 1979 and since then, Brinley has graced the cover of more than 500 magazine covers and spent 25-years as the face of Cover Girl, in addition to her success as an entrepreneur, author, actress, and humanitarian.

While Brinkley has dipped her toe into a variety of different industries, fashion has been the constant niche where she has found continued success, and this week, her relationship with fashion went through some real highs and lows.

While attending the NYC premiere of Paris to Pittsburgh on Monday, Dec. 3, Brinkley avoided what could have been a fairly dangerous fashion mishap when the heel of her brand new $800 Christian Louboutin pumps got stuck in the elevator grate at the Lincoln Center.

Luckily, Brinkley only suffered a bit of a bruised ego and a broken shoe as the extent of her injuries and took it all in good spirit, sharing a video of the incident on her Instagram page. If you turn the volume up, you can hear Brinkley yell, “My shoe is stuck… Nooo!”, in the video!

While Brinkley’s wardrobe malfunction may have been a fashion low for her but not to worry, the fashion highs that followed seemingly made up for it.

Proving that the camera truly loves Brinkley at any age, she posed with daughters Sailor, 20 and Alexa, 32, for a glamorous publication, Footwear News. The three Brinkley women all wore oversized white men’s shirts and little else, allowing their true natural beauty to shine through.

This isn’t the first time that Brinkley has posed with her daughter, with the three of them appearing in Sports Illustrated together last year. At the time, Brinkley expressed nervousness surrounding the photoshoot, saying, “In a country that’s very ageist, people love to put you in little boxes. Women feel very limited by their numbers. On a personal level, I thought, if I can pull this off, I think it will help redefine those numbers and remove some of the fear of ageing.”

Proving just how iconic the Brinkley women are, they have been selected by FN as the first multi-generational winners of the Style Influencer Award and will be honored at the 2018 FN Achievement Awards, often referred to as the “Shoe Oscars”. Making the entire event a real family gathering, the trio will be presented the award by Christie’s son Jack, 23, and his girlfriend, Nina Agdal.

It looks like Brinkley is ending her week of fashion on a high note – and congratulations to Brinkley and her daughters on their Style Award!
