Female Politicians and Summer Reading
In international news, the fighting continues in South Sudan. In Iraq, the United States is sending 560 additional troops to assist with the assault against IS in Mosul.
In recent months, it has become clear that female politicians around the world are stepping into the spotlight. In the United Kingdom, David Cameron will step down on Wednesday, July 13 and will be replaced as Prime Minister by Theresa May. Angela Merkel is widely seen as one of the most powerful women in the world. And, of course, in the U.S. Hillary Clinton is on track to win the Democratic Party nomination.
