I just got back to the hotel from another wonderful day in Prague. Over the last week, I really have caught the travel bug again. Ironically, as you may notice in today’s video, I also caught a nasty cold, but, that’s another story.

As I mentioned in a previous article, I have always seen travel as an opportunity to learn about all of the wonderful places that I visit. That said, it has only been on this trip that I have really started to understand what a “learning adventure” can be.

Unlike my previous trips, where I have had to act as my own tour guide, Road Scholar has taken care of all the details on this trip. From the moment I, and the other women in our group, arrived in Prague, we were swept up in a whirlwind of inspiring lectures and exhilarating tours.

The focus areas of this trip were art, architecture, economy and music. So, I’ve been busy learning about all of the amazing artists and composers that contributed to the local culture. I’ve also discovered quite a bit about the economic transitions that the Czech Republic has gone through in the last few decades. It really is an amazing place. I hope you have a chance to visit one day.

I don’t know when my next trip will be, but, I can already tell that I will prepare for it differently. I will certainly do a lot more preparation than in the past. I will also look for people in my social network who can give me an insider’s look at my next destination.

Tomorrow is my last day in Prague, so, it’s time for me to pack my bags and get ready for the long train ride home. Thanks again for following my Prague adventure!
