Darkness Cannot Drive Out Darkness
The sun is shining and the weekend is finally here! I hope that you have some wonderful plans for the next couple of days!
By any measure, the last week was filled with plenty of darkness. So, today, I’d like to start by sharing a quote that has given me a small measure of peace as I have been watching the events of the last few days.
Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “Darkness cannot drive out darkness. Only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate. Only love can do that.”
I don’t know about you, but, I feel like this quote has so much relevance for the events that we are facing today. What do you think?
Here’s What’s Happening in the World Today
The story in Dallas continues. It looks like the gunman who caused so much chaos and sorrow was acting alone. Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with everyone who has been impacted by this horrible tragedy.
In England, David Cameron just announced that women in the military will be able to fight on the front lines. Also in England, the pound continues to be under pressure as the outcome of the Brexit is felt.
In Asia, Super typhoon Nepartak is causing chaos and destruction in Taiwan and other countries in the region. Once again, our thoughts are with everyone being impacted by this story. If you live in this part of the world, please let us know how things are going in the comments.
