Raquel Welch on Staying Sexy and Single at 78
One day after turning 78 years old, Raquel Welch was seen out and about shopping in Los Angeles, looking better than ever.
Welch has long been regarded as a bona fide sex symbol thanks to her appearance in One Million Years B.C. where she donned a doe-skin bikini that garnered her worldwide recognition. Welch went on to fulfill roles in countless other films throughout the ‘60s and ‘70s which helped her not only to create a fruitful acting career but also solidified her place as one of the sexiest women in the world.

And stepping out after her 78th birthday, Welch proved that she is still well deserving of that title as she looked as stunning and sexy as ever.
Welch started her day with an effortlessly chic look, sporting a long, flowy white dress, casual flip flops, oversized sunglasses, and a stylish fedora hat while shopping in Los Angeles with her friend.
Later on, Welch traded in her casual dress and flip flops for a flattering pair of white wide-legged trousers, stilettos, and a loose-fitting white blouse – but she kept the stylish fedora and shades, creating yet another fashionable ensemble.

Over the years, many have questioned whether Welch has undergone cosmetic surgery to maintain her youthful appearance, but Welch has always maintained that a combination of healthy diet and skin care are to thank for her seemingly ageless good looks.
Welch believes that staying fit and healthy is all about upkeep and maintenance and has been quoted as saying that you have to keep up with yourself “the same way that you maintain your home.”
Part of that maintenance includes a low-carb diet, an hour and a half of yoga each morning, and a skin care regimen that centers around a product called Bag Balm, a cream typically used to relieve chapped skin on cows.
Another factor that may contribute to Welch looking effervescently young is her ability to remain content and fulfilled all by herself. Although married four times, with her fourth and final marriage ending in 2003, Welch actually enjoys being single.
In an interview with Piers Morgan, she responded to his inquiring as to why none of her marriages had worked out by saying, “Because I’m too set in my ways. I like what I do, I actually enjoy being me and I make a very good living at it and I’m happy. I don’t have to have a man.”
