In case you are not familiar with “nicecream” yet, pay attention because this will change your life!
Nicecream is simply healthy ice cream, made from frozen bananas. It’s also super simple to make. All you need is a food processor or blender with a powerful motor and frozen bananas.
When you blend frozen bananas for long enough, they will change into incredible, delicious, fluffy ice-cream. And, with this base, you can make endless varieties!
For preparation, you need to freeze (ripe!) bananas. Keep in mind that, the riper the bananas, the better and sweeter the end result will be. Bananas are ready to freeze when they get black spots on the outside.
You can choose either to slice the bananas or freeze them whole (do take the peel off before freezing). I always peel my bananas and put them in a plastic container. I always have a big container full of frozen bananas ready in the freezer, since you never know when you will be craving for some nicecream.
To create the frozen nicecream, you will need the following:
And, for the chocolate sauce, we’ll use:
And finally, no “Snickers” toping would be complete without:
Here’s a picture. Keep in mind that I am using bananas from Asia, which are green, even when they are ripe.
Put the frozen bananas in the food processor with a splash of plant milk to get it going. When it is blending, add the fresh banana.
It might take a while for everything to become evenly blended, so be patient. After a couple of minutes, the mixture will change into a delicious creamy ice-cream consistency.
For the chocolate sauce, simply mix 1 tablespoon of cacao powder with 1 tablespoon of syrup. If the sauce is too thick you can add in some water.
When the nicecream is finished, pour it into a bowl and pour the chocolate sauce over. Finish with the toppings and enjoy your healthy, delicious Snickers nicecream!
The varieties and flavors of nicecream you can make are endless. Add cacao powder for chocolate “ice-cream” or fruit to create your favorite flavor: strawberries for strawberry ice cream, mango for mango ice cream etc.
Also, with the toppings, you can add whatever you like. What about nuts, shaved coconut, peanut butter or granola? The possibilities are limitless!
