The Power of Starting Every Morning with a Positive Attitude

By Margaret Manning November 07, 2015 Mindset

All of us moms are all too familiar with the expression, “waking up on the wrong side of the bed.” When are children are young, it seems like this is a common occurrence as we bribe, threaten and otherwise manipulate our kids to get out of bed and get ready for school. When your kids wake up in a bad mood, everyone suffers. The same goes for adults by the way!

Did you ever think about the fact that the opposite is also true? When you start the day with a positive attitude, everything seems easier. It’s almost as if there is a mystical force that pulls good things towards people who have a positive attitude and an optimistic way of looking at the world.

There is a quote that I like to read regularly to remind me of this simple fact. It is “Wake up every morning with the thought that something wonderful is going to happen.”

Wake up every morning with the thought that something wonderful is going to happen.

I know that it doesn’t seem like positivity is something that we should be able to control, but, you would be surprised. The more you focus on positivity, the stronger your emotions become.

Let’s get a conversation started about this. What do you think? Is positivity something that we can control? Why or why not? Do you find that when you wake up in a positive mood, everything else falls into place? Please add your thoughts in the comments section below.
