I’ve worn a salt and pepper bob since I was in my thirties because my hair started turning gray in my late twenties. I’ve worn it earlength, and down to shoulder length bob. Right now, I keep it jawlength. I have very thick hair. I’ve never been able to wear my hair long because it’s very thick. I like the bob layered in long layers and slightly stacked in the back. During Covid-19 it was easy for me to trim my hair because of a bob haircut, and is very versatile and easily maintained. I put gel on after washing my hair, blow dry and spritz some hairspray that’s all.

Just over 2 mos ago, I went in for a trim telling the stylist what I wanted. Not only did she not listen, but she cut about 9-10 ins of my hair, about 5-6 ins more than I wanted, and gave me a bob. I hated it then and still hate it now. I can’t wait until it is back to the length I wanted and styled in what I asked for. Bob’s and Pixie cuts are not alw as ts the style if choice for women our age and should never be forced upon us.

Hooray for showing real women our age, not stock photos of models, wearing these lovely hair dos! They look great, and I can identify!

I opened this article because the title applies to me. But this author left a real disappointment. I look at this type of articles all the time- and this one certainly did not show examples of very good or inspiring hairdos. No offense to the women in the photos at all, but there should have been much more attractive styles and cuts shown. The AUTHOR did not choose good stylish haircuts to show that are helpful. What a disappointing article.
