We Can’t Wait for the Unseen Footage from Paul McCartney’s Carpool Karaoke Episode!

By Sixty and Me August 12, 2018 News

Whether you’re a die-hard Beatles fan or merely a bop-your-head when a tune from the timeless band comes on the radio, everyone can agree that The Late Late Show’s Carpool Karaoke segment with Paul McCartney and James Corden was pure magic.

If you weren’t one of the 130-million viewers who watched the original segment when it aired in June, be sure to check it out here – it will be the best 23 minutes of your entire week!

Music for All Ages

The music from Paul McCartney and the Beatles may date back to the 1960’s, but the soulful tunes and heartfelt lyrics that they’ve shared with the world over the years have truly stood the test of time. Fans of all ages are just as passionate today about the Beatles as they were nearly sixty years ago.

Which is why it’s no surprise that the Carpool Karaoke episode that featured Paul McCartney taking James Corden on an intimate tour of his home town of Liverpool including a visit to his childhood home, the infamous Penny Lane, and numerous other Beatles-hot-spots was one of the most unforgettable episodes to ever air.

And now, with the recent news from CBS that an hour-long edition of McCartney’s Carpool Karaoke episode will air later this month, fans of the original segment’s wishes have finally been answered!

What Else Can We Expect from Corden and McCartney?

If the emotional rollercoaster that the original segment took us on is any indication of what to expect, you should probably stock up on the Kleenex ahead of time!

Executive producer of the Late Late Show, Ben Winston, said, “We were overwhelmed by the response to our ‘Carpool Karaoke’ with Paul McCartney. We loved making it and knew we had something special, but it was so wonderful for us to see how many people watched and enjoyed it.”

Maybe it was the pull-at-your-heartstrings backstory that McCartney gave after performing the 1970’s hit, Let It Be, sharing with Corden how he wrote the song about losing his mother at the young age of fourteen; maybe it was the genuine belly-laughs that Corden’s uncanny chemistry with his guests seem to induce in viewers; maybe it was the sheer astonishment that we all felt watching a bona fide legend riding around in a car, belting out lyrics, and sharing intimate details of his life with the world…

…whatever it was that made those 23-ish minutes of Carpool Karaoke so incredibly memorable, there is no denying that we simply cannot wait to see more from the legendary Sir Paul McCartney and his lovable car-riding counterpart, James Corden.

After all, with all of the heartbreak that we are bombarded with on the news these days, don’t we all deserve a little comic relief with one of the most legendary artists of all time?

I think we can all agree the answer to that question is a resounding YES!
