5 Best Beauty Box Subscriptions for Women Over 50

By Sandra Roussy February 25, 2023 Makeup and Fashion

Have you heard of box subscriptions? They are monthly subscriptions where you sign up and receive a box full of goodies every month. The boxes can contain food, wine, beauty products, clothing, and books, to name a few. Every month you receive new items to try out.

  1. BirchBox – The pioneer in beauty boxes.
  2. The Detox Box – The best green and natural products box.
  3. Allure Beauty Box – The best-curated box by Allure editors.
  4. Glossy Box – The box to feel youthful.
  5. Kinder Beauty Box – The best cruelty-free beauty box.

What’s in the Box

Beauty boxes are a great way to try out new products without committing to full price/size. The products you receive are sometimes trial size, so you get to play with new products every month. They are also a great way to get us out of our comfort zones and try new things.

You first register online, choose a plan, and enlist for the monthly box delivery. Make sure to read all the instructions and fine print to know about each company’s policies, like if the subscription renews automatically or not. Most of them offer discounted monthly fees for a year’s commitment. Prices range from $10/month to over $60/month.

By the way, subscription boxes make a great gift idea! It’s the gift that keeps on giving – each month your friend or loved one will discover new products for as long as you keep the subscription active.

The Birchbox website is no longer working and generates a “deployment disabled” error message. I would be wary of joining this particular subscription service.
