How Has Fashion Changed in the Last Century? This Video May Surprise You!

By Margaret Manning October 23, 2015 Beauty

As women over 60, we have experienced more fashion trends than most. Some of them we are proud of – I still LOVE my 1970s hippie photos! Others, we wish we could leave behind.

Regardless of how you look at the fashions that you adopted over the years, it’s clear that things have changed a lot since we were kids!

I just came across the wonderful short video that shows the last 100 years of fashion.

Please take a minute or two to watch it. Then, let’s start a conversation!

So, I have a few questions. First, which of the following fashion periods from the video do you miss the most? Or, put another way, which fashions do you have the best memories of?

Is your favorite 1915, 1925, 1935, 1945, 1955, 1965, 1975, 1985, 1995, 2005, or 2015?

Second, if you had to describe your personal style in a few words, what would you say? In my case, I’ve always thought that “cultured bohemian” described my style. Which words describe yours?

Please take a few seconds to let us know what you thought of the video in the comments below and share this article if you enjoyed it.
