Don’t Postpone Reinventing Your Life After 60

By Margaret Manning February 28, 2015 Mindset

I rarely pay attention to marketing messages, but, today I came across one that I just had to share with the community. The quote is from a Nike ad and has a simple message – “Yesterday you said tomorrow.” Wow! There is a lot of wisdom packed into these 4 words!

When you look back at the last 6 decades of your life, does it ever feel like you were living somebody else’s dreams? Or, at the very least, do you feel like your life was filled with compromises? Now, I’m not saying that the compromises that we make aren’t worth it. But, they are tradeoffs none-the-less.

Now, as we reach our 60s, we have a choice to make. Are we going to keep going on the path that we have always known? Or, will we seize this opportunity to pursue our passions, travel and meet amazing people?

Let’s set aside all of the excuses that have held us back in the past. Let’s make a list of our dreams – and take action today to make them a reality. Let’s stop putting off to tomorrow what can be started today.

It’s time to reinvent your life after 60. You deserve it!

What is the one thing that you have always wanted to do but have never tried? What is stopping you from getting started? What would you do today if you knew that you could not fail? Please add your thoughts in the comments section below.
