Liam Neeson Prepares for Retirement, Shows His Softer Side

By Margaret Manning March 12, 2015 Lifestyle

When we asked our community members to vote on this year’s sexiest man over 60, Liam Neeson was in the top 3. There’s something mysterious about Liam. On the outside, he’s an attractive, tough-guy with a voice that could make John McClane from the Die Hard film series shiver. But, below the surface, you get the feeling that Liam is more philosopher than bad guy. It’s an intriguing combination that has kept audiences entranced for decades.

Well, Liam lovers, I have good news and bad news. Let’s start with the bad news. According to a recent interview, Liam Neeson is planning on retiring from action movies in the next 2 years. Personally, I hope that he will see the light and, like so many boomers, rethink retirement, but, unfortunately, I’m not holding my breath.

The good news is that Liam’s retirement plans seem to be bringing out his softer side. In a recent appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel show, Liam Neeson performed a hilarious, yet strangely terrifying, reading of the children’s story “Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed.” Enjoy!

Are you a fan of Liam Neeson? What is your favorite Liam film? What did you think of his recording of “Five Little Monkeys?” Please join the discussion.
