Grandmas and Grandkids Will Love this New Sam Elliott Movie, The Good Dinosaur

By Margaret Manning October 21, 2015 Mindset

One of the things that the women in the Sixty and Me community love most about Sam Elliott is his voice. There is something about the way that he talks that sends us tumbling head-over-heals back to the Wild West. He is the perfect cowboy!

While most people know Sam for his iconic Western roles, he has also carved out a successful niche as a voice actor. For example, he was the voice of Smokey the Bear in several television commercials and played Ben the Cow in the animated movie Barnyard. This shows that he is a favorite for grandmas and grandkids alike!

Well, now grandmas and grandkids can celebrate, because, Sam is scheduled to appear in a new animated film by Pixar – The Good Dinosaur.

Sam Elliott is Back in The Good Dinosaur, a Pixar Film

Whether you are 6 or 60, you are bound to enjoy Sam’s upcoming performance in The Good Dinosaur. In the animated film, Sam plays Butch, a T-Rex with a cowboy’s soul. Butch’s T-Rex friends will be played by Anna Paquin and A.J. Buckley.

At its heart, the film is about the evolution of the main character Arlo, who goes from being a timid child to a brave young man. I haven’t seen it yet, but, it sounds like a fabulous movie to take your grandkids too. The film releases November 25th, 2015.

Personally, I can’t wait for The Good Dinosaur to come out so that I can take my granddaughter with me to watch it. I definitely won’t be telling her that my real reason for going to the movie will be to listen to Sam Elliott speak!

If you are a Sam Elliott fan, you may also be interested in the fact that he is schedule to appear in an upcoming Netflix original series, The Ranch.

Do you like Sam Elliott? Do you think that his voice is perfect to play an animated T-Rex? Will you be taking your grandkids to see The Good Dinosaur? Please join the conversation.
