Ok, I have a confession to make. Like many people, I have always been somewhat intimidated by beautiful women like Cindy Joseph. Over the years, I’ve seen her in trendy fashion magazines, with her fabulous long grey hair and glowing skin. So, when I sat down to interview Cindy about beauty after 50, I didn’t know what to expect.
When you are suffering from hay fever, applying your makeup can be an itchy, annoying process. The makeup tips for older women in this video will help you to fight back. Here’s how you can take control of your red eyes and itchy nose this hay fever season.
Beauty after 50 is a complicated and somewhat touchy subject. On the one hand, the older we get, the less we tend to care about what other people think. On the other hand, as women in our 50s and 60s, we still want to feel desirable. We still want to look and feel our best, even if we don’t feel the same sense of competition with other women that we did in your youth.
Seeing young women advertising anti-aging creams has always annoyed me. Their skin is already flawless. What “improvements” could they possibly desire? I realize, of course, that I may not be in the target audience for most anti-aging creams. Women who are under extreme pressure to look useful are usually in their 30s or 40s.
Of all of the people that I have interviewed for the Sixty and Me Show, Cindy Joseph is one of my favorites. Cindy is a mature model and the founder of Boom Cosmetics. She is undeniably beautiful, but, it is her personality and passion for life that I appreciated the most.
When I sat down to talk with Cindy, I expected the conversation to focus on how to find beauty after 60 in a practical sense – what to wear, how to apply makeup, etc. What we actually talked about was far more philosophical – and far more interesting.
Humans are social creatures and we are aware (sometimes painfully so) of the ways that we are perceived by others.
For many women, including myself, New Year’s always seems to be a time of “giving things up.” Maybe you’re promising yourself to watch a little less cheesecake this year – or watch a little less TV. These are both noble goals, but, this year I want to propose that we all say “yes” to something.

Fall is such a wonderful time of the year for exploring makeup for older women. As the leaves start to fall, it’s time to break out your berry lipsticks and get out into the world. It’s also the time of the year to start preparing your skin for the long winter months ahead.
